Moles are small marks that can appear anywhere on your skin. Usually brown in colour, they can be found alone or in groups. It is possible, however, for moles to be dark blue, black, or a pinkish flesh colour. In addition, they can be flat, raised, or round and come in a variety of colours.
Moles are common. In fact, everyone has at least a few somewhere on his or her body. In fact, researchers believe that the moles you will have are determined before you are ever born. During the first 20 years of your life, these moles begin to appear. Changes in hormone levels from life events such as puberty and pregnancy can cause the appearance of moles to change by becoming larger or darker.
Sometimes regarded to be fashionable and even called "beauty marks" when found on women’s cheeks; however, not all moles are beautiful. They can be very unsightly when they protrude from the skin. They may contain dark hair and they may be dangerous.
Treating moles after they have been properly analysed is a simple and quick procedure. The laser energy is entirely converted into rapid vaporization of tissue water which results immediately in the ablation of tissue. The surface of the skin tissue which is diseased or otherwise damaged can be removed in ultra-thin layers with practically no effect on the surrounding tissue. The new skin layers that form are smooth and regular. The therapy itself is simple, fast and accurate. The treatment is painless or it may cause some light discomfort. No anaesthesia is needed for the majority of patients. If local anaesthesia is necessary, a topical anaesthetic ointment may be applied to the area to be treated. The Er. YAG Laser causes a superficial wound to the skin that takes 1-2 weeks to heal. Immediately after laser surgery there will be skin swelling. This is a temporary condition and will usually resolve in 1-2 days. Postoperative care is minimal. Your doctor may ask you to use an anti-bacterial ointment for a short period of time (1-2 weeks) and will suggest that you stay out of the sun for some time. After the wound healing phase the skin may stay slightly swollen for several months.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: A Mole Scan and diagnosis together with a Doctor’s consultation is required in all cases before starting the Laser Mole Removal Treatment.

Warts and Verrucas are clumps of skin cells that are growing abnormally due to a virus infection.
Laser treatment can be used on them anywhere on the body. Other methods of treatment (freezing, burning and acid) can be very painful and ineffective. Laser treatment with the Nd YAG and/or Erbium YAG laser eliminates the blood supply to the wart or verruca without creating a wound. The wart just dries up. Skin tags or polyps, and other wart-like skin growths are also treated by laser. Scarring is minimal.
