VISIA also compares your skin to that of others of the same age and ethnicity to provide additional information about your skin and complexion results. You are given a copy of this report, which includes the details of your skin analysis, recommendations for treatment, and skin care options.

Med-Spa Clinic uses the skin data to determine an effective rejuvenation regime for your specific needs. This can include a number of treatments such as skin peels, facials, laser treatment or anti-ageing injections such as Botox and Restylane. It can also include a detoxification and relaxation course as a precursor to a treatment programme. A home routine will also and most importantly be provided, as daily care and cleansing with products to match your skin type, life style, age and condition is more important than any treatment that Med-Spa Clinic or any other medical spa can offer you. How it works

The Standard Imaging Programme

Your face is placed in a special photographic booth to eliminate ambient light and the VISIA skin analyser takes a number of detailed images of your face from both sides and full frontal under varying light conditions. The computer is able to analyse to a depth of two millimetres under your skin and reveal conditions completely invisible to the naked eye. Because all ambient light is eliminated and the same light parameters are used, the programme and results can be stored on our database and repeated exactly, weeks or months later to check the efficacy of the treatment programme undertaken. The process is completely pain-free and non-invasive.

Please Note. If you have ever suffered from epilepsy or adverse effects from strobe lighting this procedure is contra-indicated for you and should not be undertaken.

Your results are then displayed on the computer monitor and our practitioner will discuss the findings with you. The pictures are of very high resolution and minute details of your skin condition will become very clear.

Finally three groups of eight pictures are printed on high quality photographic paper together with a recommended treatments protocol.

The Enhanced Imaging Programme

All of the above procedures in the Standard Programme will be undertaken and you will receive a detailed consultation with Dr Sheffield who will discuss each aspect of your skin condition in detail with you. A carefully selected treatment programme will be agreed over a period and then a second analysis will be carried out and a further consultation and review of the results will then take place, completely without charge. In this way, the efficacy of the treatments can be closely monitored and our clients can be assured that good value for money and a satisfactory result is being obtained.
