The female face, armpits, and bikini lines are areas which respond fastest to laser treatments- back, arms and legs usually need more treatments over time.
Since each treatment typically disables about 20% of hair follicles, most patients require a minimum of 6 treatments for sufficient long-term results. However, as everyone is individual it is impossible to say how many treatments you’ll need exactly to achieve the effect you want.
Less hair (about 10-20% less) typically grows back following each treatment, and also tends to be finer and lighter in colour.
Your skin type and hair colour, coarseness of hair as well as age, metabolism and other individual factors influence hair growth rate.
Generally it is best to wait 4-6 weeks between treatments. There is no advantage to scheduling your visits closer together even if you do not see immediate results. The laser only targets hair in the growth phase. The next growth phase is generally in 4-6 weeks.
